COVID -19 Rules 2021/2022 Season
General Club Rules:
- All individuals entering the SCC (members, visitors, workers) need to show proof of vaccination. Children 11 and under are exempt.
- Masks must be worn by all individuals in all common areas of the curling club. Toddlers are exempt.
- Masks are not required when seated at a table in the lounge.
- Social distancing is recommended.
- Stay home if you are sick or have COVID symptoms. Refer to the club Illness Policy (see below) posted on the wall at the club.
Adult League Rules:
- All individuals must be fully vaccinated by October 24, 2021, to curl in our adult leagues.
- Proof of vaccination and government issued photo ID (for those over 18) must be shown by all adult league curlers, at the start of the year.
- On Ice Rules. (These rules are subject to change if new BC Provincial Health mandates and orders are announced)
- Masks are not required to be worn on the ice.
- Teams can have 2 sweepers per rock.
- Teams can sweep an opponent’s rock after the tee line.
Wednesday afternoon Junior Curling Rules:
- Ages 12 and older need to show proof of vaccination to join.
- Parents need to show proof of vaccination to enter the lobby to pick up their junior curlers.
- Parents and siblings will be allowed to watch their junior curlers from the upstairs lounge (not the lobby) but must social distance there.
- On Ice Rules. (These rules are subject to change if new BC Provincial Health mandates and orders are announced)
- Under 12s must wear masks on the ice.
- Coaches and ages 12+ have the option of wearing masks on the ice.
